Azrael ( *DoubleCluepon ) made a good point in this journal, and I'd check out his thread comment below...artists, myself included, need to file a DMCA notice against people like this. If you don't know how, here is a link to where you can learn to do such a thing:

Read Azrael's comment below, he makes a lot of very good points that artists that suffer from theft such as this should look into. As said, angry emails wont cut it, true action needs to be taken to stop art theft.


I know a few people have already posted about this, so this may be redundant, but it seems that the site in question has pretty much pilfered most of the artwork from dA. I figure that some people on my watch list may not have heard about this so I'm snagging *sandara's journal and reposting.

Well, the Chicago Comic Con - Wizard World - is just right around the corner. I'll be attending in the artist alley with some goodies (as well as doing commissions), but probably not as much as I'd like due to the fact that I've been so busy. I have not had a chance to go out and get prints made yet...so we'll see what happens.

I'll be there supporting  SKULLKICKERS, the comic I've been coloring for for a little over a year now. I'll have single comic issues available as well as the trade for sale! So please come by, say high, and pick up a few copies!
EDWIN HUANG, the artist for  SKULLKICKERS will be there as well, though at a different table then me. He'll also have merch available and you can get the comic signed by the both of us!

As some of you may have already noticed, my current main website "CRIMSONSONATA.COM" is down right now.

I spaced on renewing the hosting service so now the entire website has been wiped clean. I am currently in the process of trying to gather all my lost web files so I can start to rebuild the site without having to start from scratch again. It gives me a good opportunity, though, to revamp the site a little and slim it down content wise.

I'll post here once the site is back up on it's feet again Sorry about that and hopefully crimsonsonata will be running again soon.

This Saturday, May 21st, I will be at Anime Central in Rosemont, IL.

BUT. I won't be there in Artist Alley. I will be participating in a panel that will be running on Saturday with a few coworkers of mine. The panel is called "How to Get Your Nerd Dream Job" and we'll be answering questions and what not on our individual fields. I'll be talking a little about getting into comics, while others will be talking on things such as animation, game design, composing and VO work.

If you are going to be at Anime Central on Saturday and would like to attend this panel, the details are below:

Hey kids!

YES I'M STILL HERE!!!!

Alive and well...well-ish anyways.

So, many of you have been asking if I'm still around, doing art, doing commissions, so on and so forth...so here is your answers!

I still check dA fairly frequently, but as for doing my own personal artwork...that has been put on the back burner. I currently work two full time jobs, so my life right now is  full up on work. I have NO time to do my own art projects currently...but I hope to remedy that soon. Keep your peepers peeled, I WILL be posting new art in the future!!! One way or the other! I love dA...for all it's faults...so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon...Even though most people have probably forgotten I exist by now ;__;

So what have I been doing you ask?

Well, besides normal day job stuff *I do art for a casino game company, WMS gaming* I am the full time offical colorist on the comic book SKULLKICKERS, being published thru Image! It's a great monster mashing time, full of fantasy action and comedy! I'd highly recommend checking it out if you like d&d and the slap stick comedy and hilarity of things like Army of Darkness

But well, that has been consuming my life. I'll soon post pages here from the comic so you can all see what I've been working on if you don't own a copy of SKULLKICKERS yourself

As for COMMISSIONS: Many of you have been asking so here is the run down:
I'm STILL working on getting the commissions that I have done. I know it's taken me forever but life wont allow me time to breath -_- If anyone wants a refund please send me a note and I will do so, if not I'll continue to chug along on what I have left.

As for new commissions, as listed below, I am CLOSED for commissions for a while. I don't know if and when I'll be able to take on more with how busy I am :/ I'm not saying I wont take on more indefinitely, but don't hold your breath that I will do more anytime soon.
Also, I will NOT put people on a waiting list and note you when I am available. If I do take new commissions, I will post about it here in my journal and it will be first come first serve, that is only fair.

Hey kids!

Alright...so it's been a while. Life has been more then busy for me in terms of work and needless to say I don't get to paint and or draw for myself as much as I used to...hell...I have not even touched any of my own projects in over a year.

Though, that being the case, I have been working on some fantastic stuff...namely I am the official colorist for the new Image series 'SKULLKICKERS' which came out a few months back. If you have not heard of the series, I'd recommend it highly of course It's pure monster mashing fun! Please give it a read! The TRADE PAPERBACK will be out in MARCH so if you want to get all five issues in one go, keep an eye out for it

Hey kids!

So it's been what feels like forever and a day since I've been around this place. Well I've lurked around at least but I've been so swamped with work that posting and keeping up to date with my art here *or anywhere for that matter* has been the furthest thing from my mind.

I'm going to start getting my gallery updated with my artwork from the past few months/year now that I have a little time to myself to do so. A lot of the stuff I have is old and commissioned/freelance work...but I'm hoping I can get back into my OWN artwork again soon.

Also, for you livestreaming fanatics out there, I should have mine back up and running. I have a NEW computer now that can actually HANDLE Livestream! So, once I get more settled and organized I'll be making plans to get my Livestreams back up and running!

But well, that is all for now. Just wanted to pop in and let you all know I'm still around and breathing. *huff* And, WTF...I hit 1,000,000 page views and never even noticed till now...well...thanks everyone that still comes by to look at my sub-par average artwork I appreciate all the support and comments and favorites and other hoo-ha. Hey all Sorry for the super rare and extreme lack of updates. I've been in over my head with work so sometimes I forget I even have a dA gallery to update. Sadly I have had almost next to NO time for myself so personal art has gone right out the window -_-; I'm hoping that this year will change some of that...but struggling to find a job and maintain some semblance of an income has driven me to bite off more than I can chew work wise. So I'm drowning in work and busting my butt...but I hope that soon I can get some of my own work done and posted here for everyone to see And I hope I can start up another LIVESTREAM soon...but we'll see how my computer decides to handle that.

SO it has come to my attention that I might be a little insane. Why you ask? Because I've decided to try something Cr@Zy!!! Well, not that crazy maybe c_c;

Anyways...in a couple weeks I'm going to start a Livestream Sketch Giveaway Extravaganza! Or...something. I feel like I'm getting a bit rusty with my art and I need a good motivational kick in the ass to get my art juices flowing. So...I'm going to sketch on Livestream, but not just of anything...of YOUR characters and or what not.

I have not worked out the kinks and further details but I'll probably work this by taking random requests via Livestream and sketch people's original characters. They'll be quick and loose, or detailed, depending on how I'm feeling at the time. But HEY! It's FREE! And we all LOVE free!

So keep your eyes peeled for further details on this little event, I shall post more on it in the near future
