This piece was done for =Loreli-AngelofDeath of her character, Loreli :3. For more info on her character please visit her site!

This was a nice fun piece to do and I really enjoyed working on her design and colors. The hair and corset are my favorite parts ^_^d For this commission there wasn't supposed to be a real background but she didn't look right without something, especially with all the dark colors :/ So I threw in a real simple background so you could see the character a little better. But well, I like how it came out over all X3

I normally don't want critiques on pieces that will never get touched again, especially on commissioned pieces, but I figured I'd try the system out and see what everyone thinks regardless. I don't know when I'll have a new original piece up for you all to rip apart @_@; so have at!

I would begin by echoing Marshmallowtoy's opinion on the feathers and hair. Excellently done. But this is a consistent thread in your work. Your renderings have a nigh-sculptural quality that I really appreciate. As if a figurine could possibly already be in production.

I think the simple background was a really good thought and really supports the light effortless floating pose.

The one thing bugging me, and yes it is bugging me, is how she's holding the sword. To hold something as heavy as that ought to be (okay, maybe it's weapons-grade aluminum) you'd need some monster forearm muscles to get your hand to do what with only a pommel in its grip.

I realize that the line supports the line of the body, and yes it worked for me, until my un-suppressible object-empathy kicked in...and my fingers cramped in sympathy.

Don't get me wrong. I love your work, love the piece, and this is literally the ONLY thing bothering me.

Well done, and keep up the excellent work.
